Description
CDS Manufacturing designed and built this inner diameter inspection machine to inspect the ID of tubular sleeves.
The operator loads parts into the bulk hopper. The bulk hopper supplies parts to the vibratory bowl feeder. The number of parts in the vibratory bowl feeder is automatically maintained. Properly oriented parts are fed to the inspection station where an attempt is made to drop a gage ball through the part using only gravity. Sensors monitor the position of the gage ball to confirm that the it has passed all the way through the part. Parts that fail inspection are gated as rejects and exit the system via the rejects output chute. Parts that pass inner diameter inspection exit the system via the good parts output chute.
