Description
CDS Manufacturing designed and built this vision system. The machine automatically feeds and confirms the orientation of a miniature spring.
The operator loads springs into the low profile hopper. The hopper supplies springs to the linear vibratory feeder. The number of springs in the feeder is automatically maintained. Springs are fed beneath a vision system camera to confirm that the part is in the proper orientation. Parts in the proper orientation are fed to a nest where a pick and place unit removes the spring from the system and places it into an assembly.
